so here's the thing:

i got tired of waiting for the OTA update for my nexus 7 2013 edition and i decided to install the OTA myself via ADB and command line, everything was going well to the point where i just had to put the last command "adb sideload [OTA UPDATE].zip, but at some point in the process my computer stopped recognicing my tablet (on the beggining it did and i used some commands) so when i imput the command it says it cant find the device.

Now i just decided to pull back and cancell it but i'm stuck at a no command screen. Does anybody know what can i do to get back? Help please

im pretty sure the nexus 7 doesnt have an SD card

try plugging it in, in boot loader mode and see if ADB recognizes it. then just continue the install from there

Yes it does, look up a video on its location.  After you let it die and try again let me know the results

I'm back with my update,

I let tye tablet die and thankfully when i charged it back it was working normally again. I dont think i will be trying to update myself soon.

Just for the record, while reading somewhere else, i found out that there's actually a known issue between android USB drivers and windows 8, so be carefull if you try to do what i did

Thank you everyone for your help

If you have a big USB (like 16 Gb) install windows 7 and put the .zip on there, boot from the USB and try again.

That's weird. My older nexus 7 2012 got android 5.0 a while back.

It sucks balls. Too slow. I have to disable background tasks in dev options.

I had that problem with mine, a factory reset fixed it completely and now it's blazing fast :) give it a try!

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

Yeah I kinda just rolled all my apps over with the updates. Going to try reinstalling them after I'm done with the restore. Thanks for the advice.
