Windows Update Error Code 66a

So I've been trying to update windows...

I selected the only important update, it's the Security Update for Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5.

I've been continually trying to troubleshoot it on my own but to no avail.

 

I need help.

4.5........ is that the only update there ( netframework?)

 

did you try installing it by booting in safe mode? ( safe mode with networking )

Try downloading Microsoft .NET Framework Repair Tool from the Microsoft website and check it. If the problem still persists try downloading and updating all the updates.

If not uninstall the .NET Framework and reinstall it and try reupdating it see if that works.
