Intel 730 Raid 0 vs Standard

Hello, I am quite indecisive when it comes to topics like this so I came here. Intel is a very reliable brand so I trust running their ssds in raid 0. However, do you think it is worth getting two intel 730 240gb's and run them in raid 0 or one intel 730 480gb w/o raid. Also, could someone give me a rundown with what read and write speeds are. I did some research on this but it is all complex definitions that do not make much sense. I am assuming write is how long it takes to "write" something and read is how long it takes to "read" something.

 

Also, what does boot time depend on? Read or write?

If you use it(them) as boot drive. For some reasons it makes almost no difference in terms of boot time and launching programs in raid 0. If you use them as large files storage, or scratch disk, then yes.
