So I am building a budget system and I am putting a cpu in there (A6-6400K) and it says that it supports PC3-14900(1833) memory. But I was wondering if PC3-12800(1600) memory will also work with this CPU. If it does that will safe me some money to use somewhere else.

1600 1833 all the way up to 2400 is garunteed to work by amd

you are fine

What is your total budget? APU systems really aren't ideal unless your budget is super tiny, like $250 for tower components only. You can probably get a better system because if you're not gaming, then intel integrated graphics are find and you'll get a better CPU, which is important for that task, and if you are gaming you can probably find a way to fit in a dedicated GPU so long as your budget isn't super tiny.

Edit: Here is a cheap system that will beat any APU build, provided that APU build only had 4GB of ram. Swap to 8 if you have the budget. Yes this uses a cheap PSU included with the case, but it's still a CM PSU, and even if it's overrated and really more like a 400W PSU, it's still more than sufficient for the build. I'd do this before any APU build, and hey if you aren't gaming you can remove the GPU and use Intel HD graphics just fine for things like netflix and web browsing. I didn't even include rebates. You wont beat it for $350. Replace the R7 260x with an R9 270 if you have the budget and want to play games at higher settings.
