GTX 580 is still a solid card and will easily run on that monitor, don't expect to run Crysis/FC3 on Max will excellent FR

Dont really play those games, I'm more into Racing, RPG, RTS and some BF3 / BF4. so just wanna know if the 580GTX is gonna be enough with this samsung s27a850d monitor. Or am i better of getting the samsung s27a850d and 680gtx?

Just so you know even with a GTX780 you will probably be on the limit of being able to run max settings with max anti aliasing at 2560x1440 resolution on the latest games. You are always going to have to drop quality for playable fps. Check out this video:

The gpu is still fairly strong but the problem is the low amount of Vram you get (1.5GB). If you are finding that a particular game (BF3/BF4) is not playable, you could always set it to 1080p resolution. This will work as a temporary fix until you save up enough money but still allow you to have high enough graphics details. If you are playing on 2560x1440, make sure you have the correct DVI cable. What you need is a DVI dual link cable. This can either be a DVI-I dual link or a DVI-D dual link cable. Or a display port cable but I don't think the gtx580 has display port. Most of them don't anyway.
