Restoring data from an iPad 2

My mom's iPad went into recovery mode this morning and is currently being factory reset. How should I go about restoring lost pictures? The pictures mean a lot to her and I would feel bad if they were all deleted.

is is already reset?

did she have the icloud photo sync on?

plug it into a windows pc and see if it shows up in my computer and copy everything over.

It's resetting as we speak. She didn't use iCloud at all.

well now its to late xD, if you didn't reset it, you could have plugged it in and copied over, most likely, but now that its resetting no chance

 

WHY u NO make BACKUP, of Photos every so often? xD

Fuck. I feel bad now. My mom lives 2000 miles away so I she doesn't know to do that herself.
