Bent/broken pins!

I have an asrock x58 extreme, and it's got a few bent pins. They're all power. Is it too big of a deal if there are one or two power pins not contacting the CPU?

 

Here's where i'm getting my pin layout from;

They are either VSS or VCC power pins, i didn't count out exactly.

You can bend them back and it'll probs work.

You need all pins to be in contact with the cpu for the cpu to work.

Well, the land on one is broken, and the other is mangled. I can get the one of them to work, but the other might be too short

try that. It will probably not work though. Then you have to rma it (if still under warranty) or sell it.

Powered on, no video outputting from the graphics card. Looking into it now

 

No blue smoke, at least. It sounds more like a gpu issue than a cpu issue.

What gpu and cpu are you using on that config?

A dual core Xeon, a W3505 or something, and an unbranded AMD gpu from a dell tower.

I was gonna try and run file server, and maybe a game server if i had the power.

It's not a big deal, there's probably gonna be few more threads about me trying this stuff.

Under EU law once you buy something on a website like willhaben.at (US equiv is craigslist) then the seller is not liable.

 

I sold my broken z77  (cap leaked) but i said that it was broken and also what was broken and i got 20% of what i initially paid for it.

They can salvage the chipset, sata ports, IDK.
