Hey folks,

I'm in dire need of some help!

I am about to start streaming using a 2 PC setup using the Avermedia Live Gamer HD.

The 2nd (streaming PC) should be completed tomorrow, however I have discovered an issue that is worrying me a little and I could really use some guidance.

I have a 120hz main gaming monitor and I really really really wish to continue to use it as such, however, the Live Gamer HD will only accept a 60hz signal.

My plan was to clone (mirror, if you prefer) my main display and send the cloned signal to the Capture Card, however, upon testing this using my secondary monitor, I have found that I seem to be unable to select a different refresh rate for the cloned display, resulting in some god awful screen tearing.

Does anyone have any experience with this, or indeed know how I may send a 120hz signal to my monitor and a 60hz signal to the capture card?

Any/all help would be GREATLY appreciated as this is really causing me some concern and giving me a headache in my lengthy search for a solution.

Many thanks,

So yeah, I got the 2nd PC built and running, cloned my displays at 120hz and although it works, I was getting terrible screen tear on stream (fine on my 120hz monitor) as expected.

Dropped the refresh to 60hz and it stopped.

I know there is a work around for this. Well known Youtuber/Streamer 'Xfactor' has an almost identical setup as mine and he managed to do it but trying to get help from him is like trying to get blood from a stone.

So for now I have an expensive 120hz monitor running at 60hz.... I simply CANNOT find a solution.
