So guys i'm about to build a Gaming/Soft Editing PC for around 1000€

Will the system (mainly the cpu) bottleneck the gtx970 ?

I was going for an i7-4790 with a worst GPU but then everybody told me to get a xeon (cause I was already using a dedicated GPU and didn't need the int.graphics and i won't OC) and to get a better GPU

That was wise advice. For those unfamiliar with this particular Xeon SKU, it's basically just a cheaper Core i7-4770/4790, sans integrated graphics. Don't let the Xeon branding throw ya off.

 

Don't worry a bit about a CPU bottleneck. That's a very powerful CPU.
