cod 4 online question

hey i have been playing cod 4 online on my ps3 and something weird happen my rank was gunnery sergeant then when i went out of the game then went back in to play some more some how i am commander level 55 now idk how i got that or if i got hacked idk whats going on plizs help  who ever plays cod 4 online on ps3

I remember back in the day when I played MW2 on the PS3, some idiot ruined my stats and I couldn't revert them for the life of me. Sounds like it's a hacker's fault.

Back on mw2 there was a mod for the host where the XP you got from kills was like 1 milion XP instantly making you the highest level. Probably what happened to you, nothing to worry about, nothing to worry about.

yeh i killed alot of rank members and won alot of games so im hopeing its  not a hacker i heard alot about hackers on cod4

Yeah basically hackers do custom lobbies with their custom gamemode, which might just same gamemode but altered stuff like getting xp is multiplied by x9999999999999 and so on. This happened to me back in the days on MW2 on PC, I was lvl 70 and got all the titles and emblems, which kinda ruined the game. I found out later though that you can remove some files and your rank and stats will be reset. This was on PC and I doubt there is any way it could work on ps3.

I cant even get into cod 4 on console. It just comes to a screen looking like this.
