Hey guys, I posted this a while ago, but the time stamp was set in the future so it didn't post correctly. Anyways, I have Ubuntu 14.04 running on an Acer c720 (v.2) and recently while in ubuntu, it will not play any sounds or videos. Minecraft and chrome work just fine, but no video editors, music players, or the like.

Any suggestions? I already tried resetting alsa and uninstall-reinstalling alsa and all it did was remove my settings entirely. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

I tried doing both. Uninstalled/re-installed both, than reset both, THEN re-installed the settings that were deleted in the process (all but printer settings) and still no sound.

And it's not just a speaker/audio jack issue, because both work in Chrome OS.
