Hey,

I have two H80i water coolers. The one's pump is broken, so I got another one to replace it.

Would it be a good idea to connect the two radiators together for better performance? So it would go [pump]--[rad]-[rad]--[back to pump].

I mean that's effectively double the surface area, but will it actually work? Will the pump struggle? What will the performance gain look like?

Thanks :)

I use a Lenovo T440: i5 4300U, 8GB RAM, 128GB Samsung 840 Evo, 14" 900p display and an external 23" 1080p passive 3D monitor. Extended 6-cell battery with internal 3-cell. Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (I only use open-source software -- haven't paid for a single program yet).

the h80i pump is not strong enough to do that, I would not recommend it, they are really not designed to be taken apart that way like a normal custom loop

Aight. Maybe I'll use it to cool something else and put another pump in it :)

You could buy a Kraken G10 and use one of the H80i to cool your GPU.

the pump is strong enough... the thing is that the closed loop coolers have virtually no res so its gonna be quiet difficult to get the right amount of coolant in the loop when putting it back together. unless you kinda know what youre doing i wouldnt recommend it...
