1. Budget & Location

I am looking to spend around 750 USD on a new PC build here in the USA

2. Aim

I am looking for a build that can handle graphic design work (i.e. ADOBE SUITE). I am a student in the field of graphic design and want a PC that will be capable of running multiple applications on more than one monitor. Aside from this I am also into gaming and would like to run games at high quality levels, examples of games I play are: DAY Z, Skyrim, The FOREST, far cry, etc. I will not be doing too much video editing so that is not much of a factor for this build. I know that, to run games at good quality I need to get a good quality graphics card. my main concern is on what CPU is best for this build.

3. Monitors
I plan on running a least two monitors for this build 1080p for at least one.

4. Peripherals
I need no other components other than the tower.

5. Why are you upgrading?
I am running a laptop that is past its prime and looking for something that can handle games at great quality and still perform well enough to run design applications

Looking at this build i would rather get an i5-4670k which is cheaper than the 2500k. My problem here is I would like to spend less on the CPU without sacrificing longevity of the build. That way i can put more money into the GPU.

also I do not plan on installing an optical drive on this build so that would save some money.

what good alternatives are there if I am looking for a 2TB internal hard drive?

So i took a shot at a rough start-up build here.

I am having trouble on choosing a decent graphics card for this build around my budget. I would like to spend up to 250.00 on a graphics card. in order to get the maximum quality here I am willing to change the CPU in order to gain a better GPU. Let me know your thoughts and anything that you might change for this build.

There doesn't really seem to be anything to actually change on this build, other than the fact that you have overclocking ready equipment, but no cpu cooler. Should you want to oc, grab a Hyper 212 evo go for around 30$ give or take, and should you not want to oc, here is a solid option to go with:

CPU: Intel Core i5-4590 3.3GHz Quad-Core Processor  ($194.94 @ OutletPC)
Motherboard: Asus H81M-K Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard  ($56.98 @ SuperBiiz)
Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 760 4GB Superclocked ACX Video Card  ($263.99 @ Amazon)
Case: Azza SIRIUS ATX Mid Tower Case  ($39.99 @ Amazon)
Total: $762.86

A solid build, should work fine for what you are asking. The most sensible upgrade in this would be an SSD, and yes its a little over budget, but should work splendid, for quite a while

Both builds will work for what you want, the 270x is a splendid card, but should you not want the hassle of overclocking, and a little better gpu, go for this one.

fx 6300 - sapphire dual x r9 270x - Zalman z9 - Evga 500B - Cooler master hyper TX3 - Win. 8.1 - Asrock 970 extreme 3 r2.0 - Crucial ballstix sport 8gb (2x4) - WD blue 1TB - some random optical drive for 11$
