Hey in hindsight I bought a horrible case but I was thinking of snazing it up I have an Antec Sonata Proto it is quite horrible would it be cheaper to just get a c70 or to build a windowed case panel.

It would be cheaper to add a window, but a lot more work and would look a lot worse unless you are professional as far a tools are concerned. The c70 would improve your temperatures and give you better cable management options. I would recommend buying the c70 since corsair products are so good.

I just added two windows to my CM Storm Trooper not long ago, and it's really not that hard to do a nice job. Just need a jig saw, files, and a dremel. It took half a day tops, and it came out quite good. Make sure to buy some U-channel trimming for the cutout http://www.mnpctech.com/UChannel.html and just mount the acrylic on the inside and people will never know you did it yourself. Worked out well for me! (Sorry, don't have and decent pictures as my phone camera is essentially worthless) In the end it depends on which case you want more.

My Rig:

Cooler Master Storm Trooper -  Asus Sabertooth Z77 -  I5 3570K @ 4.5 Ghz - Sandisk Extreme 120GB SSD - A few random HDDs from old laptops - Hyper 212+ - EVGA GTX 680 4GB - 8 GB G.Skill Ripjaws 1333 - SeaSonic 750 Watt Gold PSU - Three 24'', one 19'', 15'' and 13'' monitors

you could put a window in the side panel, you only need; an acrylic sheet, jigsaw, rubber edge trim and some strong double sided tape. so its quite cheap to do a window mod however if you put the window in and choose that you don't like the case altogether you are down some cash + you have to buy the C70.
