my cpu_opt just stops working after i shut down my pc for long time.. so i plug my cpu pump on another fan header and plug the stock cpu cooler fan on the cpu_opt to try if it will work again.. then after 30 mins to an hour it will just spins.. then it will continue working until i hard shutdown the pc again (unplugging the psu and pressing the power button for 30secs or leaving it shutdown for couple of hours) does somebody know why its doing this ??

*i already reset the bios and clear the cmos

*i also reformat the pc

K that didnt make a ton of sense to be honest but i gather that your using a water cooler of some form. with that being said are you meaning that when you plug the water pump into your cpu opt header? if so then i suggest you move that to the actual cpu fan header as thats where pumps are supposed to be plugged in and it should keep your pump running as it should be.

cpu: i5 4690k

cooler: corsair h105

mobo: gigabyte z97x gaming 5

gpu: asus gtx 970 strix

psu: corsair cx750m

the other fan header i use for my fans on the radiator..

ok check to make sure all cables are plugged in fully and i had a similar problem with me h80i and all it was is that i didn't plug the right cables in the right places so check for that too...

don't the fans plug into the pump on the h105? i think they do on the h100i, at least. if not, then try switching them around.
