[RANT] My father's antics....

So, today, like usual, i went to take a walk with my sister and our friend. Before this i warned my father that when he uses this laptop for internet, he should use mozilla, since i had 50+ open Chrome tabs, and it would crash... And he being him, used Chrome, and like i expected it, crashed it... Now, he opened it up again, and he forgot to click that button to restore previous session... I wouldn't be so mad, because i'd get over it somehow... It's true i lost quite a number of manga/anime tabs, porn very interesting video's tabs... But he went to the history, and somehow deleted it all! All of my passwords, all of my history... So now i need to remember a lot of tabs i had open... I'm also not clear how could he go to history and accidentally click "clear browsing history"... He should know english well enough to notice the difference (atleast for his age (he's 53 years old) he knows english quite well since in his younger days when russian was all the rage here, he privately studied english)... I'm suspecting he did it on purpose (he's been telling me to lower the number of tabs for quite some time... And he would most certainly do this on purpose)....

 

I can't even explain how p****d off at this moment i am!!!

That makes a lot of sense, since i saw a lot of inconsistencies (like downloading RAM... Didn't that get old O.o)

You know he's my father... And while i'm technically stronger than him (he's old, and i did train martial arts)... But seriously, i'm so pissed off.... All of those manga tabs... lost....

 

 

Maybe he watched some porn random videos and tried to delete all history and by trying that he deleted everything :)

Quite possible, since he did want to download some videos  B)

I mean that sucks though man but it's not that hard to prevent

The problem isn't an account... The problem is that i had 50+ tabs open (i am a tab fiend), and i had very little RAM, so i told him to use the less hungry firefox... He didn't do it, crashed Chrome, tried to re-open it, and i ended up without any history....

get s seperate user account for your dad and sign out of yours. Or even better, get a desktop for yourself and let him use the laptop. I am using my gaming rig and my parents use the 2 old laptops we have ( 5 year old one: Windows 7, 8 year old laptop: Windows XP). the occasional times my mum uses my gaming rig for work, i have s separate (restricted) account for her without the admin rights ( i am the admin, i built and set up the PC so it is only fair lol)

BTW in all seriousness, there is more to life than sweating off anime all day, and besides he was involved in your creation. And give us an idea of what stuff u were looking at so we can give you suggestions on what websites/videos to visit/watch

I don't have the funds for a personal rig... I had one, but someone (him) had to clean it using vacuum cleaner, and that was around 2006... He broke it down, and i got a Lenovo laptop as gift from his very good friend... That laptop broke down and now i'm left using this laptop, which is technically his... 

 

He has his computer, and it suits his needs fine, but he can't connect to the internet (we're using wi-fi from my sister on the second floor) using a TP-Link wi-fi adapter (it connects sometimes, sometimes it doesn't), so he occasionally uses this laptop....

Actually, i'm not watching anime all day :) Only when marathoning, but it's usually 1-3 episodes per day... I'm far more into manga (comics) :)

 

What i was looking at O.o I'm only ranting :) 

 

But if we're about PC's, i'm looking about nice, slow-ish build logs where they unbox the parts and immediately build a computer out of it (like Linus's mineral oil PC :D) :) But i'd prefer if they weren't very long (around 15 minutes max :))

Thats the beauty of time-lapse builds, they dont take forever.

and IMO, Linus has completely made me forget about TV with all his awesomeness.

thats why i am on here all day when not doing homework ( using my gaming rig as a forum browser lol)

well,that RAM is old, and the CPU is ancient. 4GB just wont cut it these days either. Low frequency and low performance potential is the major problem here.

It is officially his (actually, everything is officially his)... If i had the money, then i would get myself a nice computer/laptop, but no, i don't have the much needed money...

That's all i have... I'm currently in the process for asking for a new rig for 18th birthday (it's something like 21st birthday in USA, probably the biggest birthday you can get... A lot of my friends get huge parties, cars or other expensive gifts... i'm going to ask for a computer) :) But since this was one of the worse fights we had, that might not go so well...
