So I was rendering a project yesterday when I realized that my cpu was 75C, I don't like that. I am looking for a cpu cooler because what I have now is a hyper t2 because thats the best one that I could get right away at the time. Im looking for one that is decently quiet, doesn't clash with my build, fits (obviously) and isn't flimsy (my t2 got kinda fucked up when i was installing it). It doesn't need to be too big or powerful because my cpu isn't overclockable, I know a lot of people will recommend the 212 evo but I was wondering if there is anything better. My build is in my profile.

Well, technically a NH-D15 is better, but we'd need a budget to decide. The 212 EVO is very good for a budget and it's not too big.

I said I didn't want it to clash with my build and noctua is butt ugly. I figure since i'm not overclocking it doesn't need to be a very hefty cooler so for a budget i'll say $50.

212 EVO is your best choice really. You could go for a Shadow Rock 2 otherwise.

Ok, it should have no problems fitting with the ram right?

Depends on the ram.

You can try the cryorig r1 ultimate. It's pretty close to the nh-d15 in performance by a degree or so. It's only a few dba louder, but it won't be very noticeable.(From what I have heard) If your build is black, it should work okay. Because both coolers are so massive, lower profile ram is suggested. I air cool so I have low profile ram just in case I change from the hyper 212 evo. Ram height has got to be low for air coolers especially the massive ones.

The NH-D15 has pretty high ram clearance due to the cutouts.

That seems kinda overkill since i have the non-k version cpu anyway.

Then why upgrade? Your current temps seem fine.

No. And if it did you can still put the fan in pull instead of push. In fact that's how I have it configured because it also makes cleaning easier.

I cannot be held responsible for any bad advice given.

I've no idea why the world is afraid of 3D-printed guns when clearly 3D-printed crossbows would be more practical for now.

My rig: The StealthRay. Plans for a newer, better version of its mufflers are already being made.

Eh I figured it would be quieter and the heatsink isn't really attached correctly because one of the plastic mounting pins is like bent.

Where are you shopping/located?

I would get a cheap water cooler like an H55. A lot of them are selling for around $50ish now. They perform well, look amazing & sleek, and are quiet.

USA, I would order from newegg or amazon.

Shadow Rock Slim. You have about a day left: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/250941-ncixus-be-quiet-shadow-rock-slim-2999-ends-1116/#entry3440227
