Cannot access PC settings in Windows 8.1

So I'm having an issue in Windows 8.1 when I open PC settings (the app) it flashes briefly onto the screen then minimizes which it continues to do if you click on it again then I get an error of which the screenshot is attached.  Any ideas?

I just noticed it now I don't try to access that very often

I would try doing a System Restore. That's usually gotten me out of many problems.

Going to a previous Restore Point wouldn't be a bad idea, especially if the issues started after a recent software install.

I would also try SFC /SCANNOW and see if that fixes anything.

If issues still persist, I would try

DISM /ONLINE /CLEANUP-IMAGE /RESTOREHEALTH

Report back when you get a chance! Good luck!

Thanks mate for helping. I know a fair bit, but, like everyone, I have my limits. :)

Thanks so much for all your help!  A simple restart actually fixed the issue (maybe I should do that more often)

Always keep some good Restore Points saved. System Restore is a life saver.
