First time build gpu question

So basically i am going to build my first rig.It will most likely be the end of july for i actually order the parts, but i figured i might as well research the components that i want to use in advance to make sure I build a rig that i will be happy with. This leads me to my question. What gpu that is 359.99 usd or less will out preform two EVGA 650 ti boost superclocked (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130910) running in SLI? i would be running this on an i5-3570k and a MSI z77a-g45 motherboard.

I would get a HD 7950. Single GPU setup is always better. Less power usage. Some games don't use daul GPU setups. Scaling is not always good.

Well to answer your question on pure fps 650ti boost in sli will give you the most fps. However when you take in other factors I would just get a 7950

go for a 670 instead. more consistent performance. also wait till the rest of the 700 series comes out nd see if one has better performance and id cheaper

The GTX 770 might drop down in price a little more until July.

Looks like you could get yourself a 670 in that range.

if you run sli or especially crossfire you may run into micostuttering, which can affect the experience of gaming

get the best single GPU you can afford

Thanks for all the fast responses. There any specific manufactures i should look at a 7950? if i go the route of a gtx 670 i think id look to evga or msi ( haven't looked yet to see what either offer still at work )

I believe MSi also makes a 7950.  I have had several of their cards and motherboards in the past.  I would trust them any time.
