Yes there is 4 screws at the bottom of the case, just take those out and the bottom half of the tray comes out. For the top 3 drive bays that will be left, you would have to drill the rivets out in order to remove them but to be honest, when you remove the bottom drive cage, there is a ton of room for air flow. I never removed the top drive cage as I felt there was no reason to.

i want to take out the hdd cages for airflow improvement, does anybody have done this before? and what can i do with my hdd and 2 ssd's to put them safe and secure?

Your welcome :) also if you want to do something with the SSD's besides putting them in the top 3 Drive storage cage, you could mount them on the right side panel after you remove the bottom drive cage. I don't know if you like that idea but it's a suggestion :)

Ok, I'm not at home right now, I'm on Vacation, so the Pic down below is not my own pc and I do not clam that it is. It is a pic i found through Google pics :)

You can use 3M clear double sided tape Model #4010 or you can get velcro strips  to get the SSD's to mount to the side of the case, doing it this way will not interfere with air flow and will look pretty cool as well.
