Hey Guys,

I am building my first PC and it is a mid range one. I have put my parts together and would like them to have a look over. My budget is 1600 AUD including a monitor and windows.

If you have any ideas for the PC that would be great as long as it doesn't breach the budget. Please leave your thoughts on the build and any ideas you might have below.

Hey Whirlpool,

The parts that you have chosen seem compatible and optimal for your budget. IMHO for a $1500 build, you should be able to fit in a SSD which would make your build much more responsive, would decrease all loading times and initial boot time and boost your overall performance.
Other than that, it looks like a great build! Make sure to post photos once it's done. :)

If this helped you, like and choose it as best answer - you might help someone else with the same issue. ^_^

Holy crap dude, as long as that isn't your final price. It could just be the buyers PCpartpicker chose, but you can find those parts for way cheaper. Especially the 970 from Gigabyte.

Googled this and was first result: http://www.amazon.com/Gigabyte-GeForce-Graphics-GV-N970G1-GAMING-4GD/dp/B00NH5T1MS

I'm not sure if you're from a different region, but it comes up for $370 US dollars for me.

Good luck on your build.

Current PC build: [CPU: Intel i7 8700k] [GPU: GTX 1070 Asus ROG Strix] [Ram: Corsair LPX 32GB 3000MHz] [Mobo: Asus Prime Z370-A] [SSD: Samsung 970 EVO 500GB primary + Samsung 860 Evo 1TB secondary] [PSU: EVGA SuperNova G2 750w 80plus] [Monitors: Dual Dell Ultrasharp U2718Qs, 4k IPS] [Case: Fractal Design R5]
