Hi everyone :)

My PC : CPU A10 7700K,board ASUS A88XM-A,GPU GT630,PSU MS-N550 550w,windows 7 ultimate x64

My problem: i have two identical ram boards 4gb 1866mhz from kingmax. So ,on my computer it says i have instaled 8gb of ram but near it there is (3.94 usable). In my bios both boards are suported,it shows me i have 8gb and every specification of each of them.In my task manager>performance tab  the total amount of ram is 4gb so the other 4gb of ram is not being used :(.

Now..what i tried : i have been looking for memory remap in bios but no sign of it ,and i found "somewhere i dont remember ..internet" that its already activated by default so its no need to be there as an option.

I tried to manually tell windows the maximum amount in MSCONFIG>boot>advanced options but every time i set the amount of ram 8192 ( or 8000 i tried many) it goes back to 0 and i cant change it anyway.

I switched their place on my mother board.I have two colors of ram slots two yellow and two black in this order B Y B Y so I tried to place them one in black on in yellow, both on the black color and both on yellow collor  (like 1 and 3 slots )..no result.

I looked up in bios for any .."memory share" with integrated chips but nope..i didnt find any so i guess no chip is holding my ram for his selfish reasons.

My bios is up to date so if you want to check..my version of bios is 1801.

The last thing Im thinking of is reinstall windows (i dont know ,ok? im out of ideas )but if i reinstall it i was thinking of windows 8 64bit because i like it but i dont know how good it is with gaming so i am not moving a finger until i read your opinions :/.

And yes i use PC only for gaming so if you can advice me with this ram i have and windows 8 for gaming that would be great :D .
