Plugged everything and nothing.

Hey guys.

I've just finished my first PC build. The only problem is when I turn on the power the GPU + the CPU + heat sink doesn't seem to be doing anything. Any ideas? Have I forgotten something.

Yup! The CPU heatsink isn't spinning. The LED on the GPU isn't turning on and nothings appearing on my monitor

Turn on your psu, plug in your via connectors, your 24 pin, and cpu 8 pin, and you should be fine

You have good taste btw, I have that same psu and mobo!

Is the pinout correct for your front panel?

when you power the pc on. behind your powersupply should be a small switch. for semi passive psu cooling. turn your pc on and try flipping that switch to see if the fan spins or not

Yeah man. I think I've plugged the GPU in wrong. No idea about the CPU though

I would double check the pinout. Unplug them all and look at the motherboard manual for the pinout diagram and plug them all back in.

yeah man it turns on but the GPU + CPU don't do anything

If none of the case fans are spinning its most likely an issue with either the powersupply or the pinout is incorrect. Post a picture of your pinout if you can and the model of motherboard.

It seems like everything is installed properly. The only suggestions I could tell you is that there is something wrong with the psu?

Yes the LEDS are lighting up on the MOBO but not on the GPU

are you sure you have plugged the 4-pins connector on the top of your motherboard ? (4 pin cpu)

I would make sure that front panel is wired up correctly, if you dont have the power button done

try removing the connectors. on the gpu and on the psu. then pluging them back in. also try different outputs on your mobo and gpu. (try gpu first)

Did you remove the jumper? (Did this in my first upgrade (upgraded Case PSU and GPU took me 6 hours because I removed  that little basterd )

Unplug your pinout and only plug in the power button for now.
