Need help with a start button

Hey everyone!

 

I am making my own desk (by that I mean my own cabinet) and I need help with the start button. Does anyone have a link on how to create your own, or where you can buy something like that?

Ahhh that. Computer start button is just like any other button. You have 2 wires and when you press button they are connected.

But where do I connect the cables?

in bottom of motherboard you should find small connectors like these

 

find pwr_btn pins (should be 2 of them)  and those are ones that should be connected to one another to start pc

I was making one of my own as well but I would like to add a indicator LED to it also. Would I need to worry about the voltage and amp limitations in that circuit? I'm not sure what the bulb draws but its what they use cars. Thanks
