Android screen won't turn off

I have my screen set to turn off after 30 seconds of inactivity and it won't. Its currently on the lock screen and it's been on for like 5 minutes. I have rooted my phone but i only installed a few small apps since i rooted it and none of them seem to be keeping the phone screen on.

That works but i don't want to have to always do it. If i forget to lock my phone it will stay on all day and drain my battery.

You said you want to turn it off right? I'd done that on my Note 3 a couple of times when it froze.......

My phone isn't frozen it works fine just the auto screen turn off isn't working.

Something like a reset? I'd never encounter this issue on my Note 3 or my Galaxy Nexus.........
