Graphics Card tilt. Fixable?

Go to solution Solved by 79wjd,

My asus strix 970 is tilt a bit and its been driving me insane!!!!!! I was wondering if I did something wrong while building or if it just does that. Please help, my full build is  in my profile (just in case that helps)!

It's called sag, and it's normal; if you want to fix it (theres no risk by not fixing it) then either use fishing wire or a stick.

It's normal for GPUs to sag. You can make some sort of support structure for it.

Main Rig: CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5700X3D | RAM: 32GB (2x16GB) KLEVV CRAS XR RGB DDR4-3600 | Motherboard: Gigabyte B550I AORUS PRO AX | Storage: 500GB Crucial P3 Plus, 4TB Silicon Power UD90 | GPU: AsRock Radeon RX 9070 XT Steel Legend | Cooling: ThermalTake Floe 280mm w/ be quiet! Viagra should do the trick. Mine sags as well don't worry.

But that'll give it skin cancer.. Yes, Viagra is being recalled for giving skin cancer.. This is what happens when you decide to watch TV for once and you get to the ads..

Back to the OP: You can fix it with some clear fishing line, most GPUs sag.. Sometimes even with a backplate.

Your build is just not sexy enough for it. Maybe it's gay?

Look at the some of the Fractal Design and Enthoo cases. They have a brace that goes up the side of the case just for such a problem. The big issue of course, is if you have a window it will block some of it. The Strix has a back plane so you're not doing the card any harm by just leaving it even tho it looks weird.
