Iphone 5s strange camera bug

So, my dad bought an Iphone 5s some time ago, and while i was playing with it, i noticed a strange bug that happens when you turn the 120 FPS video recording. When you switch it, the whole screen starts flashing like a grainy rainbow and freezes after a second or two. The only way to get camera back working is to restart the application and wait for a couple of seconds.

It's 16 GB version, with IOS 8.1 installed.

Have anyone encountered a similar problem?

P.S. Everything else in the application seems to be working fine.

Yeah if it works fine normally, it's a software bug. Restore through iTunes, and you can then restore from an iCloud backup so you don't lose anything.
