Laptop battery doesn't work.

Hello,

 

Yesterday my laptop did shut-down if think because it was overheated. Since then my laptops battery doesn't seem to work anymore. The computer will not boot up or run on battery power alone. Windows does recognize the battery and says "pluged in, charging" but the battery stays at 74%.

It is a pretty old laptop, when I bought it was pretty good for the time. I have already replaced the motherboard once, new hdd(old one broke) and os, the same goes for the screen backlight and not so long ago the batterie.

I changed the batterie because I haven't used the laptop for a long time and the battery went down to 0%. Windows was saying "pluged in, not charging" so I replaced it. It was working for about 2 weeks.

 

I hope you guys can help me.
