This isnt really a build log from start to finish like you would expect. I just finished upgrading my board from H77 to Z77. A fairly minor upgrade but one I wanted to do before Z77 fell off the map.

What I had before:
Corsiar 650D
Asus P8H77-m Pro
3570K
H100
HX650
1TB Seagate Barracuda x2
Samsung 840
2x4GB Vengance Blue
Stock 120mm Corsiar case fan x3
Stock 200mm Corsair case fan x1

Whats changed:
Asus P8Z77-M Pro
4x4GB Vengance - 2 blue 2 black.
SP120 Quite Edition x3
NZXT HUE

I plan to overclock anything I can a little bit and I wanted to change out my case fans. Little did I know...650D doesnt have mounting holes for 120's in the front, and if it does im blind as hell because I thought it did. I have 3 SP120's sitting around untill I can figure out what I want to do about the intake. Ill probably make a bracket to mount them on. I think ill also get a fan controller as my next addition because fan headers on my motherboard are all on the wrong side and ive had to plug everything into my H100 which doesnt seem to know what its doing and runs at full speed all the time. I THINK.

I cleaned up my cables a bit but the side panel still bulges a bit and it freaking hard to get on. I also ran into an issue with my Isopropyl alcohol. The kiddy lock got the better of my and I ended up puncturing a hole in the side with a knife. I was only going to use it once and it wasnt too expensive.

I ran into a freaking crazy problem today. The IO shield for the P8Z77-M Pro has little hooks on it that I asume are to help guide the motherboard into place. Well they are a nightmare to deal with, I spend a good 30 minutes trying to align the 3 hooks which are different heights. It was made worse because I had already put my H100 on my CPU and just refused to take it off. So I guess that was partly my fault, but wtf was ASUS thinking.

And as I finish writing this, Im sitting at my desk on the floor surrounded by empty boxes and random parts scattered around me. I feel good now.

Looks like a great PC and setup!

Thanks ^__^

i wish i had room on my desk for my pc but i hate that it just sits under my desk. but it looks great.

Thankyou, I have it on my desk because of carpet. I would put it behind my moniters with the window facing at me and get a third moniter if I had the right situation. I wont invest in that sort of setup while im flatting though.
