Need help with Drivers PLEASE!

Hi, i recently updated an old PC to windows 7 and the motherboard that is in there does not have any updated drivers past windows vista and xp. It's an ABIT SG-80DC  Heres the website with the drivers

Can anyone tell me if i can still use these drivers? or if i need Different Drivers and where i could find them and download them.. Thanks for your time

Can't see the website :/

Try installing the Vista drivers - Windows 7 has backwards compatibility, so it might help.

Couldn't find any drivers for Windows 7, but it might work without them, too.

Remember to be a good citizen and choose a 'best answer' when your problem has been resolved!

(that way people know when a problem's been resolved)

That thing is older than the hills.

 

chipset SiS 661FX

Audio: AC97 Codec

 

Vista drivers she be ok on 7, but not always.

Here are the drivers that are available. the chipset driver only goes up to xp.. O.o will this work for windows 7?? or will i just have to buy a new motherboard??

I'd try the board without the drivers, and see if it works.

If it doesn't, try installing the Vista drivers in compatibility mode.

Remember to be a good citizen and choose a 'best answer' when your problem has been resolved!

You can try. But most likely you will have to hunt them down via the manufacture of the hardware. Its part of the deal

 

The manufacture is not going to support your upgrade. If you need a sound driver go to realtek. If you need a graphics driver. Nvidia, AMD or Intel and so on
