okay so i'll try and cut this short but basically i just built a workstation pc, all new parts except my old asus p8z77 vlx mobo and my i5 3rd gen lga 1155 socket. Anyway at first I was getting worried because the pc would start up and then just cut out, and start up again, cut out. I got sick of it and left it for a day and i've come back to it and it's turned on first time, now baring in mind this is a first time set up including the OS so all that good stuff is yet to be done on it and the reason is that the motherboard is giving out no signal to my monitor, and my keyboard doesn't light up neither, i've tried a different monitor already and that wasn't the case, my friend is soon to come over and try a GPU in it to see if i can at least get a picture, I will reply to this forum once we have tried that to let you guys know. Thanks for reading and get back to me if you have any suggestions.

Thanks again.

I had this problem when I first built my computer.

For me, it meant that my CPU and my motherboard were running different firmware versions, and once I popped in an older CPU and went into BIOS to update the motherboard's firmware, everything worked nicely.

Also make sure that nothing is overheating, and that nothing is shorting out.

For more details, I would suggest describing (in detail) exactly what hardware you have.

Good luck! This was a really frustrating issue when I dealt with it, so I understand how annoying it can be. :)
