I got an internet upgrade today. I am supposed to be getting 50 down and 10 up. But I can only get 28 down and 12 up (upload higher). I hardwired in and I got 60.12 down and about 12 up, which means it's a router issue. (not wireless adapter issue). I have the WNDR3700v3 Router which should be able to reach those speeds. Is there a setting that I need to change or is just a broken router?

Look through the settings and see what freq it's broadcasting on. Take a look at what channel it's on too.

Hmmm do you have DDwrt installed?

It's on the 54mbps mode and it's broadcasting 2.4ghz and 5ghz.

I don't know how to check DDwrt

Channel is on auto

DDwrt is a custom 3rd party firmware for routers.

54mbps?! Bump that up, that's way too low. Like G speeds lol...

It's limited to what WPA-PSK [TKIP] operates at. (Security)

EDIT: I changed it to 300mpbs but there's no difference in internet speeds.

You changed it but there's no difference? Is it WPA2-PSK [AES] only mode now?

apparently it was able to keep the security settings from before.
