Installing PSU?

SoBlurry

Hey there.

Well I mean, It's been at least 2years since I first originally built my PC and put my PSU in it, and more recently my PSU was replaced for me when I was at a gaming festival..

I'm upgrading my PC again and obviously I need a new PSU, So i've picked one out and all but I'm literally scared to death of ruining my PC when replacing the Power Supply..

Any advice? Should I just go for it? Baring in mind I really cannot remember anything.

Cheers,

Jake.

There's like nothing to go wrong, just don't confuse an 8 pin graphics card connector with an 8 pin EPS connector

Specs: CPU: AMD FX 6300 Motherboard: Gigabyte 970A DS3P RAM: HyperX Fury 16GB 1866MHz GPU: MSI R9 270 OC edition Case: Sharkoon VS3-S SSD: Samsung 840 EVO 120GB HDD: 1TB Caviar Blue PSU: Corsair CX500W

Wrong. What makes you think that?

Tell us more about your upgrade and you might find out your current PSU is just fine.

I have a cheap replacement in at the moment as when I was at Insomnia my PSU failed, I just haven't got around to replacing it. Trust me when I say it needs replacing, it's like a stock 500w which is horrible.
