So in light of recent disconnected and strange computer failures, I decided to test my memory using memtest86, since I could not trace these failures to any component in particular. I downloaded memtest86 4.0a iso image from their website. I extracted the image and then burned it to a cd-r. I changed the boot order in my BIOS to have the optical drive be first. I booted up to the disc which the computer recognized. Then I got a black background text only screen (unlike the blue one which I have always seen in pictures) which said press 1 for 4.0a or 2 for 3.5b. I pressed 1 and then enter for 4.0a. It said in the command line that it had loaded memtest and that it was ready. The disc spun down and memtest didn't start. What did I do wrong?

Thanks!
