Looking to upgrade my GPU

I've been looking at upgrading my GTX 670 for a while and I've finally gotten around to it.  I've been looking at this ASUS STRIX-GTX970 and the Zotac AMP Omega 970.  My price range is around about £300.  If there are any recommendations you guys can give me before I fork out the cash that would be great.  Also a confirmation that my PC can handle the GPUs Im looking at would be nice.

Motherboard:-    Asus P8Z77-V LX

RAM:-                 4X4GB Patriot Viper Memory

GPU:-                 MSI GTX 670

Case :-               Coolermaster Case

Storage :-           Samsung 840 Pro 128GB

Yeah adding a GPU like the GTX 970 is a good idea. You can even sell your 670.

Your PC can handle 970. Choosing exact model should be reduced to colors and your personal feel about its look.

You PC will be able to handle it for sure so you don't have to worry about that.

As for the GPU, I've heard of many people liking the G1 gaming; however, to choose from the options you gave, I'd get the STRIX as I have more faith in ASUS than Zotac though that's just personal preference.

if you are gaming at 1080p go with a 970, if 4k 290x
