Looking for suggestions on partial upgrade

I'd like some input on an upgrading of a friend's rig. He's looking to move from an AMD 8120 platform to one of the newer intel chips. Not all of his build needs to be changed over, he has the GPU, RAM and storage pretty much taken care of already so I'll just be carrying those over. What he DOES need is a new case, mobo, CPU, cooler and PSU. He has his eyes set on the Enthoo Luxe case, for which I cannot blame him as it is an excellent thing. We can get that for about 150-170 euros. Budget wise he'd like to stay around 6-700 Euros in total. I might get 800 out of him.

 

Other things that matter to him would be colour co-ordination, he is NOT a fan of black and red which might limit things :P

The case has adjustable LED colours so that's great, but I'd like the rest to at least be consistent is what I'm saying, so not a giant blue lit cooler and a mobo that's full of green...and not red cause he's particular about that.

 

Main practical use for the build is gaming with some streaming, so no need for a giant multicore monster build with DDR4. Not that that would be feasible on that budget.

 

Any input is appreciated, as I am not up to speed on the new intel chips and recent mobos (I know I'm a terrible person)

What graphics card does he have currently? Can't recommend a PSU if I don't know what he needs.

Excellent point, he has a 970 :)

Really? Nothing yet? This is a little atypical for the forum :P
