Any good case recommendations?

Go to solution Solved by JcGross,

Thanks everyone for the suggestions! I read all of them, but unfortunatelly they aren't really good for me, because they are either too expensive or I can't get them.

However I did manage to find a case that I think is going to be awesome for me. It's going to be an AeroCool vs-9 pro advance. I'm going to buy 3 more Revoltec dark green fans (120mm), one is going to go on the front, which is going to push the air out, one on the side which is going to pulling it in and one on the top, again, pulling it in. There is one more fan that comes with the case, that is also going to pull in air from the back. I have an 80mm fan from my current case left over, I might put that on the top as well, but that might be a strech (even this, I don't know if I should do this, since my PSU is only a 500W 80+ power supply, I might have to rethink my plan).

Here's the case:

And here's what fans I'd use (I'll look around for other fans though):

 Hi all!

I've been thinking about getting a new case for a while now. I don't have money for liquid cooling now, so I need a case with good airflow. I'd also like a lide window because I plan on putting green LED strips on the bottom (or top, somewhere) and green LED fans (at least one, because they are quite costly). So I'm looking for a black case with a green frontlight (although I can change the front light, I did it with my current case as well). Any tips or recommendations?

Personally I like the Fractal Design Arc Midi R2: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811352031

It has plenty of air cooling options, all covered in dust filters and it has a window. And if you decide to water cool eventually there is also room for that. It should be a nice case.

Thanks, but I don't really dig this millitary-green theme. I was thinking more of a deep black.

What's you budget

65-75 (maybe 80) USD. Haven't decided yet.

Then get the black C70 instead of the military green one....? lol

It's a bit too expensive for me. About twice as much as I'd like to spend on it.

I do like the Define R4, but over here it costs about 140 USD.

What I was thinking is this:

sharkoon_tauron_green_edition.jpg

But still it's a bit expensive. Alternatively my friend shown me this case:

If I could find it at this price I'd totally go for this.

But right now I'm thinking this will be the case that I'll go with:

What is that first case? I like the look of it.

Sharkoon Tauron Black/Green. Over here it's about $140. So overseas it's probably half.

cooler master haf cases are good

If you like lots of tacky looking plastics, inadequate cable-management options and questionable build quality, yes.

Fractal has some new cases they showed off at Computex (see Linus video). No idea when it hits the marketplace though.

NCIX USA has the Arc Midi r2 on offer for 79.99 if you buy it before 12 June

Not going to get a better deal on a better case IMO

Yeah, plus the international shipping which is probably a fortune.

My suggestion as well.

If you wanted the green lighting pre-done in green then there aren't really many options at all is there. I'd rather go with a Shinobi and do it myself.

In case the moderators do not ban me as requested, this is a notice that I have left and am not coming back.

Somebody says their budget is in USD, not unreasonable to think they mean USD.

But it looks like it has bad airflow. Now I'm looking at an AeroCool VS-4, I just don't know how modable it is. By the looks of it it has two front LEDs and I don't know if I could change them to green (I did change the front LED on my current case, but it only had one behind the power button (plus the red hard drive indicator which I didn't change)) I could also put a green Revoltec 120mm fan in front, or a black fan with green LED strips on it's sides (or lightin tubes like these)).RM125.jpg

I said it in USD because that's easier for everyone to work with. I can say my budget is around 15000 Forint (HUF) if you want, but I doubt anyone knows how much that is. Btw it clearly says under my profile picture that I'm from Hungary...

Fractal design and Corsair cases are really good, Antec also has really good cases for air cooling.

Don't forget that due to customs fees and sales tax, you can convert dollars to euros 1:1 for computer components. 15000 HUF are about 50 euros.

Have a look at the Antec One, Bitfenix Shinobi and Fractal Design Core 3000.
