Hey guys, just as the title says, I want to get into Programming

I do have some experience with C# .net

From this Youtuber - https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLEbaEyM-xt9mVQEAXGlRRmbO2Qp_oqF-n

A lot of people may of heard of him. I use Visual Studio and C# .net as the Language

I was wondering if there is a place where I can become a lot more advanced using C#

I know how to use stuff like; Text to Voice, Cases, Randomizers, Grabbing realtime info from the Computer

Than you, please recommend a website for me to start on

I would recommend CS50X but it's not what you're looking for. CS50X is a free intro to computer science class being done by Harvard. It can help you understand the fundamentals of Comp Sci, not the programming, but the thinking skills involved. The way it's structured is that you have 12 weeks of lessons. You have about 2 hour long lectures per lesson. Each lesson has a walk through and a problem set you can do. You don't have to submit a thing, you could do it on your own, but being a part of the community is something awesome. There are soft deadlines for the problem sets but the actual deadline is at the end of the year. If you have the time to spend, I recommend doing this course so you understand the thinking skills involved.\

Read up on it if you can and decide if you want to do it.

@Benana101 since you know the basics of C#, then you may ask yourself what kind of applications are you interested in?  Then focus on that, do your research (google is a good place to start),  fork some projects in GitHub and practice on them.

Getting more advance in any programming language or anything in general is doing your practice runs.

sorry for going off topic but, holy shit that sounds awesome.

do you know anyone that has actually done the course?

I am definitely going to have a go at this.

Edit: it does actually seem like it involves a fair bit of programming though..

it seems i might have a very hard time actually setting aside the time for this.

As opposed to what was initially insinuated.

Many people have done the course. I believe the class was originally recorded last year and the online program took place last year as well. There is a Facebook group for CS50 and other social media sites.

Of course it involves a lot of programming, it's an intro to Computer Science class. From the class, you'll understand pseudo code and actual code as well. I've only recently started the program so I don't have much to talk about as of yet. It is about a 2 hour long lecture, some supplemental videos, and a problem set. I'd say you should be able to get a problem set and videos done in 4-6 hours. I recommend spending Saturdays or Sundays working on it, seeing as I'm doing that.

You could, instead, only watch the lectures in your spare time to have a basic grasp on the fundamentals of Comp Sci. The actual programming will eventually protrude into the lectures, but that's expected.

Anyway, I hope you spend time on the course!

To me that sounds like worst way to start programming. I would recommend to you to start with something like C if you are complete beginner.

This guy has lot of tutorials on C and many other things...

http://buckysroom.org

link to C tutorials on that site:
