Borderlands broken help?

I have just enterd TVHMode and am doing the story mission "A new direction" I just finished the "Reach crysis scar" part of the mission and it is not progressing the mission?

I was stuck too almost at the end, it's common that the game screws up the objectives and get you stuck.  

 

I read that sometimes playing with someone can help fix this glitch, but it didn't work for me, so I ended up editing my save file to set my progress 1 step ahead.
