Hi, i was recently recommended the build below by a very helpful forum member and would like to know what you think about it and and if i could somehow improve it.

recommended build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/nmD4Jx

Budget: $900

location: UAE, Dubai

Aim: light browsing and heavy gaming.

Monitors: two 1080p monitors @60 Hz both using DVI-D dual-link

Finally should i care about having some special cooling since ambient temperatures will go above 30C (86F) every now and then ?

Thank you very much for any help.

EDIT: all parts can be changed since i am going from scratch.

Looks good, keep in mind those 290 cards can run pretty hot,so i would recommend a extra fan or 2 to mount in the top/bottom of the case, hot air rises, and a top fan will suck that heat right out.

Or you can swap that be quit cpu cooler out with a corsair h90 or h80i or something,it's a closed loop.so you don't have any heat of that cpu in the case,it blows it straight to outside the case.

But there is only one way to find out, build it,and try it,if it runs to hot you can always decide to get a watercooler for that cpu.

You shouldn't be worried about overclocking, that build is pretty solid, and you won't benefit from it right now with 60hz monitors.

Thanks very much. One last thing though, when i look at that 1TB HDD i find it to be a bit of an overkill for my personal use, should i consider getting another SDD and raid them for the extra performance ? Im new to this building stuff but i was thinking raid 0.

I've got a sapphire r9 290 and the immense power of my nh-d15 blows away any heat given out of the gpu. The surface area and size of your cooler should be fine for the heat of the r9 290.

I'd say no to the raid idea as it wouldn't give much of an improvement and 1 tb of space would be a good idea

Spoiler

AMD 8320 with Noctua NH-D15|ASrock Fatallity Killer 990fx|Sapphire Tri-X R9 290|8gb HyperX Fury Black 1866 MHz|Thermaltake 850W Gold|NZXT H440|Logitech G19s||R.A.T 9|Razer Vespula|Astro A50|Corsair Voyager GT 64 gb

Comp overclocker - Tinkerer - I thoroughly enjoy putting 12v into things that say 5v

If you can spend 70$ more, go with this, not as good CPU but much better GPU and since you said that you do heavy gaming this is perfect. If you cant spend the extra 70$ go with a 970.

I wouldn't cut on everything just to get a GPU like that, that seems like something you'll regret in the long run.

Here's the few things you should think about:

-don't make the mistake to get a cheap case like i did, it'll be a pain to work with and you do want your components well protected from dust.

-investing in a good power supply is not a bad idea, they can last a life time and can come with really long warranties. Cheap power supplies may also fry your opponents if you get any problems like under voltage or over voltage.

-investing in quality is the best thing to do, the internet is full of reviews of components. Google can tell you almost everything about quality components

I had some people tell me SSD was a must at this point in time, but damn that GPU is tempting.

Here's something i put together:

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/kmBDhM

Let me just clear things up:

-Everything on this list is of pretty good quality, as far as i know

-A GTX970 is better, but don't try to go cheap on other parts. An I3-4130 can be combined with a gtx970 if you really want one, but there will be a slight bottleneck, and i don't really like that. Up your budget by $100 and you can fully enjoy a 970, while not having to cheap out on anything else

The 6300 already runs a gtx770 with a mild bottleneck, an i5 or an AMD processor of the same level is needed to atleast run a 970 without bottlenecking. More cores doesn't mean better performance.

How about Switching to a Xeon E3 1231V3 ? solid performance if you don't plan to overclock and a few bucks cheaper too. Plus you don't have to get a fancy heat sink and put the money you spared toward a 970

System Spec: H87 mobo from Zotac, I3 4130, 4GB ddr3 1600mhz Cas 11, WD green 2TB all in side of a Cooler Mater Elite 120

Praise be tomshardware!

UAE
dtcae.com
Gridz Direct
Uber <---- geared toward gamers and overclockers

Saudi Arabia

Asbis Saudi <--- also ships to Qatar, Oman, UAE, and Yemen

If these are the parts you've found, I suppose they're ok. Case seems a bit edgy but apart from that these all seem solid parts.

Thank you very much, you just made my life alot easier. I was at computer plaza last night and they all offered insane prices to provide me with the parts ... around double what pcpartpicker says.
