I need to upgrade from my gaming headset..

I bought a pair of headphones for my tablet (Sennheiser HD 419) and after comparing them to my gaming headset - I got a taste of what I was missing out on.

I am looking for a pair of headphones that will provide the very low frequency bass without sacrificing the clarity of mid range and high end frequencies.

The WS range from Audio Technica was my first choice. My supplier has discontinued the WS99, and only supply the ATH-WS55x and WS33x.

Is the ATH-WS55x a good buy for the cheaper price? Or shall I find another supplier to purchase the WS99?

I personally love the aesthetics of the WS99.

 

Any input from users of the AT-WS range is greatly appreciated.

 

my price range is $150-$300 AUD
