Hi 

 

I was looking at this amp as it seems ok and has a pc usb input, but can it power two studio monitors and a sub?

If so how would i connect it up

I dont have much experience with audio and amps so any other suggestions or tips would be great!

Not sure about the sub, but it should power the speakers appropriately...

 

I haven't seen one of these in the local Sony stores that I've been to....

 

Try checking out stuff from Pioneer as an alternative... I don't think that they come cheap, though...

Not really... I was thinking of suggesting a dac and a receiver unit/ speaker amp instead...

 

I'm not updated in this field since I still work with analog component systems from more than a decade ago...

Look for something with 2.1 support...

 

iirc monitoring speakers sound good enough even without a sub... Or at least that's what I remember when I saw a Panasonic DJ station showcase at one of the local shops...

Yeah just get a normal home theater reciever. Most of them take optical audio which your motherboard has built in.
