Hello good folk of the LTT community!

My friend is getting a new PC soon (Ordered today, I will be assembling/OC'ing et cetera) and I will be doing a minor OC on the 4790k (4.5-4.7GHz). When looking at guides something popped up in my head: EVERY guide (save for a few, including Linus) mentions uncore voltage and multiplier. Is this relevant when doing a minor OC like this or can I just leave that on auto and stick to manipulating the Vcore/LLC/Multiplier or should I put the uncore multiplier on 38 (As most guides seem to mention)?
