well that should get you back up n running, so the origin drive? did you RMA it? 

 

Hard drives none SSD usually have 5-10 years Warranty's 

I RMA drives i find lying about lol! some people just don't seem to understand that. 

note they wont recover your data! 

 

but if hte drive is still spinning you can use a usb caddy and something llke 'get data back NTFS' to recover the actual data

and check the warranty status, they may need the actual fault codes before they will replace it but if its seized or not spinning and not damaged from a drop or something they should replace.
