Recently I bought a new CPU, GPU, Motherbaord and more RAM for my PC. When I open a game (Slender The Arrival), I can play it for about 3 mins before and PC shuts off and doesnt turn back on and I have to wait a few seconds to turn it back on. I have a 500w psu and thats enough because friend has the same specs as me and he has overclocked his CPU so it not like there isnt enough power.

Please help

My specs are:

AMD FX 6300 6 core 3.5ghz

8gb ram

GTX 660

Asus m5a78l-m l x v2

Thank you

What PSU are you using?

Also can you monitor the temperatures of your system? Use Aida64 or AMD Overdrive...

Here's my thoughts on this:

I've never heard of CIT before... It might be a crappy brand whose actual rating is around 350W tops...

I did a quick research and found a single Tom's Hardware thread that describes their PSUs in detail...

The PSU apparently has a dual 12V rail design... Might be bad news for graphics cards that need external power...

Try opening up the case for now and clean out any dust buildup... Let's rule out thermals for now...

Boot into the BIOS and monitor temperatures from there...

But thank you for your help

No prob..

Get a good PSU from a trusted maker... It's a waste of a nice PC if the PSU kills it...

First of all you need to watch this video and then you have to to choose a power supply with the appropriate specifications(you will learn about them in the video) and you also need to choose it from a trusted brand such as corsair and EVGA.
