Buying from NCIX to Aus

So i'm looking for a new graphics card, the GTX 970 G1. In aus it's bloody expensive so i thought i'd look at NCIX and considering that the Aussie dollar is par with the CAD.

453.80 (1.01) Australian Dollar

 

So my question is has anyone from aus bought anything big from NCIX like a graphics card and how much did you pay for customs?

Havent bought from them but as long as its under $1000 and for personal use, Australian customs wont ask for anything

Actually, it depends on the day, sometimes your packages won't get inspected, sometimes the lot would. As you can imagine, they can't really inspect every single stuff.

I wouldn't recommand buying it there as it would cost you more than if you bought directly where you live unless you can't find that particular items. Besides, shipping fees'd add up.

To give you an idea, getting stuff from a shop in US costs me about 1/6 of the total to Canada (just in customs fees) and it was for personnal use too.
