So my computer has been playing up like crazy over the past few weeks and i want to re install windows 8 but the problem is i dont have the disk just the product code.
Is it possible to re install it using a usb and folders ect that are already on the computer???

I think you can download windows 8 free from microsoft website, download it and use windows usb tool to load it on your USB then you can reinstall using your USB stick.

you need the disk for that.... :(

I never had that problem, but apperantly you're right: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/restore-refresh-reset-pc

Since you still have the product key, you can download the .iso from Microsoft: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/upgrade-product-key-only

Then burn that to a USB thumb drive or a DVD.
