Good free benchmarking software?

Hey Linus Tech Tips,

 

I was wondering what software for testing your GPUs.  What tools would you guys recommend?  

 

 

CPU: Core i7 4770k, RAM: 8GB DDR3 GSkill Ripjaws X, PSU: OCZ 700W, GPU: AMD Radeon R9 270X, Case: Fractal Design Define R4 Black Pearl, Cooler: Noctua NH-D14

Unigine valley/heaven

 

Edit: Valley is so damn soothing...

Unigine: Heaven, Valley are the main two free ones. 

A lot of games have included benchmark utilities now a days, can do a google search to see if a game you own has one built in.

 

STAY AWAY FROM FURMARK KOMBUSTOR, this application puts unnecessary heat and load on your card and has the potential to break it.  Happened to me, and it has happened to many others.

INdeed. Furmark/kombustor are known to wreck cards on occasion in a few minutes making it 100% useless

Unigine Heaven / Valley is a great choice. 3DMark is free too (but with basic setting and you can't change it unless you pay it). 

 

I am just use furmark for stability test (overclocking), not benchmark. in gaming scenario, your graphics card more likely never reach stress point just like furmark does. CMIIW :)
