So I just got a new SSD and succesfully installed Windows 8.1 onto it. My problem is that whenever I try to open a file that is on my HDD it tells me that  the file cannot be found. When I try to move files onto my HDD it also tells me that I don't have permission to. I think privelages might be an issue but I already put admin privs on my SSD and User profile already so i have no idea what to do so far. I'm not sure if I skipped a step in installing the SSD or what, sorry I can't go into too much detal since I'm on a different computer but the ssd is Samsung Evo 840 120GB.

The error goes something like this I think "The file '' cannot be found". I can clearly see the file on my HDD though.

Did you uninstall windows on the Hard Drive?

No I did not, would that be the reason I may not have admin privelages on my SSD?

Yes it probably is. When I first installed Windows on my 840 EVO the computer had a hard time knowing what to boot from and I couldn't access all my files. Unfortunately re-installing windows and formatting your hard drive is the only way to fix this

Life.exe is missing

Alright, I guess I can see where some confusion can happen. I'll just back it up and format my HDD, will let you know how that goes later tonight thanks. Suggestions still open for now though!
