Bad audio coming from PC?

Pineapple Wolf

So I wasn't on my pc for about 2 days and when I went back on to game/play music I noticed that the sound was a lot worse than before. Everything sounds watered down and like it is being played through a massive funnel. It isn't the headphones because they work fine on my surface tablet.

I'm plugging them in through the front audio connectors on my H440

It's probably a noob question but does anyone know what is up?

Onboard audio: Maximus Vii ranger

Headphones: Over ear sennheiser momentums

i would get a dedicated sound card.

sounds like a lose connection or dodgy cord. check the connection to your mb from the chassis

Ok, I unconnected then reconnected my front panel audio and now supremefx isn't picking anything up at all :/, I'm guessing it's the case's fault then?

Try the backsocket the front one is notorious for static and such

get an amp or a dedicated sound card really.

I've plugged it into the back now it's fine. I also re/unplugged the connector again and it's back to the bad sound. I'll just have to have it in the back for now then I guess :/
